My 2 1/2 year old received this DVD from her Grandma as a gift. I watched all 8 episodes with my daughter and we have been hooked every since. My daughter’s favorite episode is “Sing It Sister.” She’ll sing right along with the characters…”la,la,la,la,la…lady bugs”,etc.

The animation, storylines, and moral lessons are great. My husband even watched a couple of episodes with us! This is a great show and I hope it says around for awhile. I plan on ordering more Miss Spider/Sunny Patch DVDs soon.
My son is 2. He LOVES Miss Spider. I mean borderlined obsessed with this silly cartoon. We have Comcast cable and “on demand” carries Miss Spider, But, only a few episodes at a time. Whenever he is tired , or not, he wants to lay down and watch Miss Spider. It makes my husband and I laugh because we hear him Laughing, singing and saying the lines.( I’m not kidding when I say he loves this show) He adores Bounce-he is our fav too. -He has actually started being so kind to everyone because it teaches such nice manners-
This is one show that I am so glad that he watches. It’s quite funny at times. As a parent you dread having to sit and watch certain childrens programs. I am sorry to say that I too know the words to these episodes.
I did’nt know what to get him for Christmas. I Know that he is now getting just about all the DVD’s. Now, he does’nt have to watch the same 4 shows over and over again. I never knew they made so many movies! YEAH!

this season is certainly a step up from season one. It comes with more action, jokes, drama(?), you name it! I would very much recommend this show to anyone who appreciates fine art. The visuals aren’t the best, but they have a certain touch of artistic charms.
You most likely would buy this if you used to watch it as a kid. The animation and writing is a bit lacking but the voice acting is top-notch. Robotnik alone makes these DVD’s worth it.

This story opens in 1938 in Rome, where Marcello has just taken a job working for Mussollini and is courting a beautiful young woman who will make him even more of a conformist. Marcello is going to Paris on his honeymoon and his bosses have an assignment for him there. Look up an old professor who fled Italy when the fascists came into power. At the border of Italy and France, where Marcello and his bride have to change trains, his bosses give him a gun with a silencer. In a flashback to 1917, we learn why sex and violence are linked in Marcello’s mind.

Inspired casting puts sparks in this comedy of counterculture clash between an aging 1960s radical and a buttoned-down FBI agent. Dennis Hopper plays an Abbie Hoffman-esqu sixties activist and prankster who lands in the custody of a conservative young agent (a suitably uptight Kiefer Sutherland) and proceeds to literally unravel the agent’s carefully constructed front through a series of slippery mind games. Hopper has a blast as the unreformed sixties relic, and Carol Kane is delightful as a hippie holdout who puts both men back in touch with their identities. There are few surprises, plenty of heart, and even a little sentiment in this story of rebellion and the legacy of the counterculture. The soundtrack is gilded with well-chosen 1960s anthems. –Sean Axmaker

After the death of their father, Bernarda locks her daughters in the house for an eight-year mourning period, acquiescing only to the courtship of her eldest, Angustias (Enriquta Caballeira), by Pepe el Romano, a mysterious nobleman who arrives on horseback each evening. Because Pepe is the only eligible bachelor in town, the younger sisters fall in love with him as well. Hardest hit is Adela (Ana Bele?n), the beauty of the family, whose illicit romance with Pepe has tragic conseqeunces for the entire family. Beautifully shot and acted, the film conveys both the claustrophobia and beauty of a sequstered, all-female hosuhold.

Wisconsin lumberman Barney Glasgow (Edward Arnold) makes his fortune by marrying his business associate’s daughter to cinch a lucrative partnership, thereby sacrificing the one he truly loves, Lotta Morgan (Frances Farmer). Lotta marries Barney’s close pal Swan Bostrom (Walter Brennan) and they beget Lotta Bostrom (also Frances Farmer) who bears a striking resemblance to her mother. Years later, when the elder Lotta is no longer with us, Barney and his son (Joel McCrea) both fall for the young Lotta, causing Barney to work out his troubling sense of loss. This rousing loggers melodrama was the one and only tru showcase for the talents of Frances Farmer, who is superb in the dual role of the mother and daughter Lottas (and for a fledgling actor, that’s a lotta Lottas), and who would later be made more famous by the biopics based on her life. No one with romantic tendencies will be able to resist The Love Letter. Campbell Scott plays a Civil War buff who buys a desk from that era. While polishing it, he discovers a secret compartment, in which sits an unmailed letter–a letter written by a young woman named Lizzie (Jennifer Jason Leigh) over a century earlier. Touched by her yearning for passion, he writes her back, egged on by his mystically inclined mother (Estelle Parsons). Magically his letter reaches Lizzie and they begin a correspondence that threatens Scott’s impending marriage but promises to bring fulfilment to Lizzie. The Love Letter is absurd, yet somehow that doesn’t stop it from being completely engaging and even moving. Scott and Parsons are solid, while Jason Leigh is downright rapturous–the movie may owe its success to her. The plot has surprising twists and the conclusion is sweet and satisfying.
